Solar power plants

As photovoltaic power plants are becoming more widespread, the accurate predictions of solar radiation and power from photovoltaic installations are gaining importance, especially in Europe, where the weather is very variable. Our group has been dealing with the forecasting of the solar power plants for years and has developed procedures for the minimization of the prediction error based on the characteristics of photovoltaic power plants, their power output history and on the advanced processing of the outputs of numerical weather prediction models, which we acquire from our partners, and run ourselves as well.
